Rishikesh
Far from the crowd, at a quiet corner on the shores of the Ganga river.
These ghats would normally be full of tourists and pilgrims.
A view from the famous Laxman Jhula (hanging bridge) over the Ganga river.
When the monsoon clouds threaten to erupt.
The narrow Laxman Jhula is empty enough to maintain COVID social distance...
... but Maitreyee still follows COVID protocol on the empty Laxman Jhula.
The muddy monsoon waters provide a nice backdrop to the colourful environs.
A view of Laxman Jhula from down at the shores of the Ganga river.
The muddy rain waters of the Ganga river foam like seawater.
Offering prayers to river Ganga.
Maitreyee inspects the overflowing riverfrom Laxman Jhoola.
Not a beaten path to the Ganga.
Haridwar
The colourful, somewhat empty, ghats of Har ki Pauri.
It'd be impossible to stand isolated at this spot in normal (pre-COVID) times, full of tourists and pilgrims.
Looks fun and nice, but not sure this is a good idea during the COVID period.
The changing mood of the monsoon clouds adds to the charm of the ghats at Har ki Pauri.
