We visited CERN - the European Organization for Nuclear Research - in Geneva on 6 April 2008. That day the "world's largest particle physics laboratory" opened its doors to the public to see the world's largest particles accelerator (called Large Hadron Collider) that is to be commissioned in summer 2008.
